The film is the result of an initiative by the workers' assembly of the Numax appliance company. Founded by two former Nazis, the company is about to be relocated to Brazil. The workers, most of them women, decide to commission a film documenting their long strike and the process of self-management. The party that closes the film, far from expressing disappointment, offers a glimpse of a society in which factory work has lost all meaning. The entire society has become a factory.
Biography
Joaquín Jordà (Santa Coloma de Farners, 1935 - Barcelona, 2006) was a director, screenwriter, and translator. «Mones com la Becky» (1999) and «De nens» (2003) are his last documentaries. In 2005, he revisited «Numax presenta...», a film he had made in 1979 at the initiative of the workers' assembly of the Numax appliance company. Twenty-five years later, a new film reunites those workers outside the factory.
