“We met at the start of winter. Now it is April. To start this letter, we want to show you the city that we’ve got to know and filmed together.”
In this way begins the film that was collectively created by a group of young migrants to tell the story and experiences of six people who migrated to Barcelona a long time ago. The group of filmmakers invite us on a journey which is, at the same time, exterior, poetic and introspective, through the city, the trees and the moon.
A celebration of cinema and the possibility to share life and make the world a bigger place.

Biography
A collective film created within the framework of the Cinema en Curs programme, by Amadu Bailo Djaló, Mamadou Boye, Mohamed Camara, Aldisi Dauti, Laura del Valle, Abdourrahamane Diallo, Mamadou Diallo, Elhadji Diop, Lucca Goicochea, Núria Jordán, Tomàs Malavía, Laia Martorell, Emma Melero, Fally Saine, Nfally Sanneh, Gael Sedeño, Pau Vega and Barang Vut, with the guidance of Núria Aidelman, Laia Colell, Jaime Puertas, Júlia Ruiz Quintana and Agnès Sebastià.
The group is made up of young people, between 16 and 23 years of age, some of whom have recently arrived in Barcelona from Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Senegal, Cambodia, Albania; others were born in the city, or have lived here since they were children. They all met in the Cinema en Curs programme at the end of 2022, after having applied to participate in the workshop. Some had already been part of the Cinema en Curs programme as kids, in their school or high school, and/or are currently studying film or audiovisuals. This is the first time the majority have turned their hand to filmmaking.

Metodology
The film was made collectively within the framework of Cinema en Curs, a teaching programme centered around the art of filmmaking. Over the 8-month period, the group met up on a weekly basis to watch and create films, using methodologies and suggestions shared with other groups in the programme. The film’s authorship is collective and the young members of the group have carried out the whole process themselves (script, conception, filming - taking turns to work in each of the roles - , writing and editing), with the guidance of a group of filmmakers.
