Afluente

Cinemateria is a laboratory of collective, artistic creation, which explores the material nature of analogue cinema in its different formats. At its core is an experimental attitude, which allows for the investigation of the moving image by means of hybrid formats and non-conventional narratives, in order to approach cinematographic creation from broadened perspectives. Kinetic exploration, experimental audiovisual languages and the laboratory processes of analogue cinema are some of its main interests.

"Tributary" manifests in a horizontal process from the beginning. It comes from an exploration of the territory, the goal of which was to find a place that questioned the sensitivity of the collective as citizens. Within this process, the participants come across the Arzobispo River. Coming face to face with the river and its history (or lack thereof) leads them to consider a series of shoots that will establish a direct relationship with a voice that has been silenced by the passage of time. In these shoots, it is fundamental that the traditional roles of industrial cinema become blurred, in order to make way for a multiplicity of voices that emerge from the celluloid. By abandoning the absolute gaze of the author, they reflect a body of relationships that allows us to move closer to the non-human.
