Creació audiovisual cooperativa i col·laborativa. Història i actualitat

Talk19.10.2412:00 h Zumzeig Cinecooperatiu Free
To date, many works have been created by audiovisual and cinematographic collectives that have not been attributed to an individual author. With this talk, we aim to highlight and celebrate these works, affirming something that has been true since the early days of cinema: the inherently collective nature of most film productions, even if it is not always recognized. Moreover, many films signed by individuals owe a significant creative debt to the contributions of a community, especially from an acting perspective. In this regard, films like Peter Watkins' monumental “La Commune (Paris 1871)” hold a prominent and iconic place. Other examples include Italian neorealist films and more recent works like "O que arde" (Oliver Laxe, 2019).

As part of the -CO Festival, we seek to explore the importance of cooperatives, collectives, and collaborative cinematic experiences, both past and present, with a special focus on various geographical contexts. Zumzeig Cinema provides an ideal setting to update a map of productions that are constantly changing and evolving.
