In Lerga, days are lived with attention to the calendar. Celebrations and fieldwork tasks follow one another. Life in the village has allowed its inhabitants, known as los Cucos, to find a balance between the individual and the collective, between community needs and personal creativity.

With the arrival of winter, they will embark on a new project: making a film collectively. In assembly, they will choose corners and stories to film, such as El Parlamento (The Parliament), four stone steps where they gather every evening to discuss current events. Through the 'story of the end of the world' and their daily activities, these people will show us new ways of inhabiting rural communities.

Metodology

The production company Hiruki Filmak invited the village inhabitants to create a filmic portrait of their community. Through participatory assemblies, they decided together what to include in their films. During the shoots, both the technical and artistic teams were formed collectively, with roles constantly rotating. This process allowed the participants to move from being mere spectators to becoming creators of the film, fostering creativity and self-representation.
