In the found-footage film JUGGERNAUT, cis men from YouTube archives compete for the title of the “best.” The title evokes an unstoppable, destructive force: driven by competition and success, the protagonists become part of the very collapse they help accelerate.

Biography

The art collective NEOZOON, founded in 2009 in Berlin and Paris, explores global power structures. Viral phenomena, pop culture themes, as well as archival and YouTube material serve as the foundation for an experimental cinematic practice that, through deconstruction and recombination, offers new perspectives on speciesist and capitalist mechanisms of oppression. Their works focus particularly on global environmental changes in the Anthropocene and the relationships between humans and non-human animals.

Their films have been screened at major international film festivals including Oberhausen, Rotterdam and Locarno, and have been presented in renowned museums such as the Centre Pompidou, ZKM Karlsruhe and Kunsthalle Bonn.
