Antes Muerto Cine is a collective based in Buenos Aires, dedicated to the production of documentary and experimental films. Our goal is for our practice to dialogue with past and future experiences in order to sensitively rescue the everyday and absurd beauty that founders in chaos. We like films that are alive, those that are made with care in privacy or on the street, those that are invented by drawing conclusions on the fly, those that play. Because we believe that films are also their mode of production, we understand friendship as a creative policy.

Código Abierto is a film-framework built from a group of pre-existing films that were made in very diverse ways by the collective. On the way to composing this mutant cinematographic object called Código Abierto these short films were modified, some dismembered and others slightly altered, but as a good hybrid and dark creation, when assembled within this new film-creature, they became something else. At times, it is difficult to recognize them, they dialogue with each other, argue, and even conspire. A collective practice, which in the end is what brings us together, is the pleasure of being part of a game of combinations, some impossible, and others inevitable, an infinite game whose rules we do not know.
