Clack Audiovisual
Biography
The project began as a modest production company with the desire to challenge the dominant narrative and tell stories from the margins. Clack has gradually established itself as a communications cooperative that stands for critical thinking, inclusion, and strong local roots.
Its team—made up of journalists, filmmakers, and creatives—has grown around a shared mission: to make audiovisual media a tool for commitment and collective awareness. With productions ranging from musical documentaries to stories about historical memory, such as Peiró42, or television pieces like Bon cop de falç, Clack has given voice to often-forgotten people and struggles.
The project, cooperative and self-managed, maintains a strong presence in Catalan media and collaborates with educational and social organizations. It promotes the community culture festival Nosaltres and manages the cultural activities at Bar del Cafè Nou in Mataró. Over the years, Clack has become much more than a production company: it is a community that believes in culture as a driver of change, that tells stories from the margins, and builds narratives that matter.
Methodology
Clack is much more than an audiovisual production company: it is a cultural cooperative that develops its projects through a collaborative, critical, and community-based approach. Its working model is based on collective intelligence, where each member contributes their perspective and experience in a transversal, non-hierarchical creative process. Ideas often emerge from debate and shared reflection, with a clear intention to question the present and transform it through culture.
The creative processes always begin with active listening to the social and cultural environment, especially to voices that are often silenced. The projects—whether documentaries, stage performances, or television content—are developed using participatory methodologies, involving local organizations, artists, and diverse collectives. This openness ensures that each of Clack’s works is unique, rooted in its territory, and infused with a plurality of perspectives.
In day-to-day operations, the collective functions through assembly-based dynamics that promote shared responsibility and team cohesion. The cooperative is committed to ongoing training, building networks with other cultural projects, and spreading knowledge by promoting spaces for discussion, education, and awareness.
The result is audiovisual work that goes beyond the screen: engaged, conscious, and capable of transforming the social narrative. Clack strives to promote a methodology with an honest, critical, and grounded style, proving that another way of producing culture—from cooperation and closeness—is not only possible but necessary.
