2012-presentEspañaSocial Transformation, Video activism, Group Process Facilitation
Cooperative founded in 2012 that bridges video activism with social integration/education.
Biography

The organization designs and coordinates collective community audiovisual creation projects through Group Process Facilitation methodologies. It combines Audiovisual Training (scriptwriting, camera operation, and sound recording) with Social Theater/Theater of the Oppressed, Nonviolent Communication, Artistic Mediation, and Systemic Psychology, among other approaches.

The cooperative's primary objective involves sharing knowledge and resources to analyze, understand, and represent reality through audiovisual language. It works to eliminate barriers between communicators and audiences while creating safe spaces that foster trust and support, thereby opening new channels for learning and empathetic communication. The organization primarily serves at-risk communities, enabling them to document their challenges firsthand without intermediaries. It amplifies participants' voices and develops self-representation through audiovisual media as tools for dialogue, reflection, and social advocacy.

While prioritizing process over product in its projects, CàmeresiAcció maintains rigorous technical standards for its outputs, considering this a crucial element of its work. The cooperative believes that participatory processes yielding high-quality, publicly engaging audiovisual materials transform projects into meaningful acts of collective public communication.

Through participatory media, the organization highlights realities and perspectives absent from conventional media channels. It promotes freedom of expression, facilitates horizontal communication and self-management, while simultaneously documenting the experiences, perspectives, and concerns of local groups and communities. Ultimately, the initiative fosters active engagement with social realities and their transformation.

Methodology

CàmeresiAcció utilizes video and social journalism as tools for intervention and transformation. Comprised of professionals working in both audiovisual and social fields, the organization executes this project with the objective of empowering individuals and facilitating self-expression through audiovisual innovation and experimentation. The initiative functions as a creation-action instrument that begins by establishing empathy and trust, ultimately strengthening external relationships.

Through participatory community media, the organization provides theoretical and practical knowledge to analyze, understand, and represent reality using camera technology. This is achieved through tailored audiovisual training sessions that incorporate facilitation techniques, process work, and conflict resolution strategies. This approach initiates an empowerment process for participants who comprise the project's audiovisual team.

The methodology fundamentally prioritizes establishing empathy and trust among participants at the outset.

The cooperative focuses on training individuals to document reality through first-person narratives without intermediaries. Its central mission involves providing communication resources and personal development tools to diverse groups, enabling them to highlight various social issues through community transformation projects using audiovisual media. The initiative aims to offer innovative, engaging forms of collective expression that serve to raise awareness about injustices and share concerns through collaborative means.

All audiovisual content is produced from a shared, consensus-based perspective through group collaboration. Consistent with these principles, creative decisions are made collectively by the audiovisual team members and participating communities themselves.
